Welcome to the Teens 'N Clay summer camp, a fresh and exciting option for teenagers aged 12 and up keen on exploring the art of pottery! This hands-on camp is being introduced at Art Zone, located at 840 W Guin Road, Nixa, MO, and is set to take place on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Whether your teen has dabbled in clay before or is looking to try something entirely new this summer, this camp promises a creative outlet and skill development in the fun and friendly atmosphere of Art Zone.

The camp's daily schedule is designed to engage participants in the complete pottery-making process. The day starts with an immersive hour on the pottery wheel, allowing campers to get their hands dirty and their creative juices flowing. Following this, campers can explore various shapes and textures during an intriguing clay hand-building and glazing session. After a lunch break, where teens are encouraged to bring a sack lunch (allergies notified in advance, please!), the afternoon is spent on the pottery wheel, ending with more advanced clay sculpture and glazing techniques. Such a dynamic itinerary ensures that by the end of their session, each camper has broadened their pottery skills and created something unique. Interested families will find the registration process straightforward, with various attendance options to fit differing schedules and budgets. Participation costs $30 for a half-day session, with full-day options available for $50. For families looking to immerse their teens in the pottery experience, discounted rates are offered for multiple full days: $135 for three days, $172 for four days, and $210 for an entire five-day week. Such flexible pricing ensures that more teens can discover the joy and satisfaction of crafting with clay. In addition to the camp's core hours, Art Zone has thoughtfully introduced early drop-off (8 a.m.–8:45 am) and late pick-up (3 pm-4 pm) options for an additional $5 each, accommodating busy family schedules. Half-day sessions are also available for those who may prefer a shorter day or have other summer commitments, from 9 a.m.–12 pm or 12 pm-3 pm. It's an inclusive approach, aiming to provide every interested teen with the opportunity to join in, learn, and have fun in a safe and encouraging environment. Remember, a sack lunch is necessary for full-day participants, and notifying Art Zone of any allergies is crucial to ensure a safe and enjoyable camp experience for everyone.
